Tetrazine-PEG3-OH is a monoreactive derivative that allows a facile attachment of hydrophilic triethyleneglycol fragment (pegylation) by inverse electron demand Diels-Alder reaction (IEDDA) with strained olefins, such as trans-cyclooctenes, and some cyclooctynes.
