Trans-cyclooctene (TCO) is one of the most used cycloalkenes for bioconjugation tasks. TCO-Tetrazine ligation possesses ultrafast kinetics, selectivity, high yielding, and long-term aqueous stability, which is important in low-concentration applications such as dye-protein conjugations, etc.
