A cholesterol derivative with azide group for сlick chemistry for attachment of various molecules to lipophilic surfaces, such as micelles membranes. It can also be used to prepare «clickable» micelles.

Conjugation of this reagent with biomolecules can be carried out in mixtures of water with organic co-solvent. When conjugation in an aqueous medium is desired, cholesterol azide should be embedded in the membrane first, and resulting micelles can be carried out.

Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid is a reducing agent converting copper(II) into a monovalent form that catalyzes the click reaction.

Biotin-PEG4-azide

Biotin azide is a reagent for click chemistry labeling with biotin, a well-known affinity probe to streptavidin.

THPTA ligand

THPTA is a water-soluble ligand for Cu(I)-catalyzed click chemistry. The ligand stabilizes copper in its Cu(I) oxidation state. Due to high aqueous solubility, reactions with this ligand do not require an organic co-solvent.
