Catalytic buffer for Click chemistry contains copper(II), triethylammonium acetate, pH 7, and DMSO. The buffer is a 1.5x concentrate, a ready-to-use reagent for the modification of nucleic acids such as oligonucleotides, or small molecules.
Copper(II) should be reduced to copper(I) prior to reaction. Ascorbic acid is the recommended reductant.
