LumiPure® UNI, Precipitation-Based Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit for Any Sample

The kit is designed for the isolation of total nucleic acid (RNA and DNA - genomic, mitochondrial, and viral) from a wide range of biological samples for subsequent PCR and RT-PCR. It includes all the necessary components for this purpose. In the first step, cells are lysed using a lysing solution, and the nucleic acids are precipitated with a precipitation solution. In the next step, successive washings of the nucleic acid precipitate are performed. The sample is dissolved in a specially selected buffer at the final stage.

The main characteristics of the kit:

  • Source material: tissues and organs of plants and animals (after homogenization), blood plasma (heparin is not allowed as an anticoagulant), leukocytes, mammalian cell cultures, and gram-negative bacteria, scrapings of epithelial cells, swabs from the nasal cavity and oropharynx and liquid samples
  • Extraction time: 50-60 minutes

Nucleic acids isolated by this kit can be used for PCR and RT-PCR without additional sample preparation.
