BDP TMR, an orange-fluorescent dye and a full analog of BODIPY™ . Because of its small size and relatively long excitation lifetime, this fluorophore can be used for studying ligand-receptor interactions based on fluorescence polarization.
A tetrazine fragment in the molecule can rapidly react with trans-cyclooctene and cyclopropene derivatives in [4+2] cycloaddition reactions, which result in stable biomolecule-fluorophore conjugates.
