LUCS 13 green-fluorescent nucleic acid stains is a cell-permeant nucleic acid stain that shows a large fluorescence enhancement upon binding with nucleic acids. It is an analog of SYTO®13 dye which has a completely identical structure. The LUCS dye can be used to stain RNA and DNA in both live and dead eukaryotic cells, as well as in Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The staining pattern of the LUCS dyes in live cells may vary between cell types.
BDP 581/591 is a relatively hydrophobic borondipyrromethene fluorophore that can be used as a probe for ROS species, or fluorescence polarization tracer. This is an azide derivative for Click chemistry.
