Pyrene is a well-known DNA intercalator, and environment-dependent fluorophore.
Pyrene dU amidite contains pyrene rigidly attached to deoxyuridine. This reagent allows to attach pyrene fragment to 5', internal, or 3' position (using universal support).
Pyrene is a chemically stable label, so no special deblocking conditions are required.
