Lumiprobe 3Dye™ 2D DIGE Kits are specially designed for precise comparison of protein expression in two or three samples of lysates. Perfect mobility matching and bright dye fluorescence allows for high efficient detection and high resolution of minor proteins on 2D gel electrophoresis.
The kits are compatible to all imagers capable of detection of Cy2, Cy3, and Cy5 dyes. The gels labeled with Lumiprobe 2D DIGE Kits are ready for subsequent mass-spectrometrical analysis.
Each 3Dye™ 2D DIGE kit contains reactive NHS esters of Cy2 (double quantity), Cy3, and Cy5 dyes, and labeling grade dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent. Cy2 can be used as a reference which can be added to both samples.
Reactive dyes are contained in lyophilized form, which prolonges shelf-life of the kits. Each tube contains exactly the same quantity of the dyes (variation within 5%). Re-constitution of the NHS esters with included DMF guarantees that labeling efficiency of Cy2, Cy3, and Cy5 remains the same during entire term of kit use.
Each kit contains:
Cy2 fluor (2x5 nmol, 2x10 nmol, or 2x25 nmol)
Cy3 fluor (5 nmol, 10 nmol, or 25 nmol)
Cy5 fluor (5 nmol, 10 nmol, or 25 nmol)
DMF labeling grade solvent (1 mL)
Performance evaluation
Two lysates of different Helicobacter Pylori strains were analyzed using dyes produced by competitor (left panel) and Lumiprobe 3Dye™ 2D DIGE Kit (right panel). The images taken by GE Healthcare Typhoon 9410 imager are shown below.
